Eileen is a figurative artist. Her work is gestural and expressive, with figures emerging through a process of concentrated observation and a continual questioning of her own visual perceptions.

  Eileen's practice is underpinned by drawing where, as well as, the endeavour to understand the complexities of the human form in space, there is a strong emphasis on tone.

  In her paintings colour is a very important element in how she personally expresses her feelings about what she sees. Sometimes colour has over taken causing forms to begin to dissolve and abstract into a sea of painterly marks.
